Who it’s for

  • Shoulder Filler may be considered in the following situations. - The shoulder line looks rounded or sloped and a straighter shoulder line is desired - Insufficient volume or contour on the outer shoulder makes the shoulders look narrow - The aim is to supplement the contour around the clavicle and acromion for a more defined, balanced shoulder line - The aim is the so-called "straight shoulder" shape in which the shoulder line falls squarely when wearing clothes - The aim is to refine shoulder shape and left-right balance naturally with filler rather than surgery - Trapezius development is also present and overall shoulder-line design using botulinum toxin and filler is desired The medical team judges suitability and the treatment areas and volume individually after assessing shoulder slope and bone structure, the degree of trapezius development, left-right balance, and the volume required. Treatment may be restricted during pregnancy or breastfeeding, when there is active infection, inflammation, or an open wound in the treatment area, or when there is a history of allergy or hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid or any ingredient used in the treatment. Please also inform the medical team before treatment if you have a bleeding disorder or are taking anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, or other medication that can affect bleeding.

What Is Shoulder Filler?

Shoulder Filler injects a large volume of hyaluronic acid (HA) along the shoulder line to smooth out a bumpy or raised shoulder into a sleek, straight 'one-line' contour. Unlike a facial filler that adds volume at a single point, it designs the entire shoulder ridge as one surface, helping the neck and shoulders look longer and more refined. The product (domestic or brand) and the dose are decided with the doctor to match the shoulder and the line you want.

What to Expect: The Shoulder Filler Treatment Process

1) Consultation: the doctor reviews the shoulder and body-shape condition and medical history (pregnancy, medications, allergies, prior procedures), sketches the desired line together, and plans the product (domestic or brand), the injection areas and the dose (from 10cc, with 1cc add-ons). The shoulder line is marked out before treatment, usually with the patient sitting upright, to guide the design. 2) Topical anesthesia: numbing cream is applied, and for comfort a numbing preparation containing lidocaine may also be used at the doctor's discretion. 3) Authenticity check: the product is opened in front of the patient and a certificate of authenticity is provided. 4) Injection: along the marked shoulder ridge, HA is delivered into the subcutaneous layers across multiple points and layers — typically using a blunt-tipped cannula (microcannula) to lower the risk of vessel and tissue injury — with the amount adjusted while checking left-right balance and the line. 5) Finishing: the line is lightly smoothed and shaped, soothing care is applied, and aftercare guidance is given for home care. The product and dose used are documented on the chart. Actual injection time is roughly 30 minutes, and it is performed per session. Product and dose options are explained during consultation.

When Will Shoulder Filler Results Appear — and How Long Do They Last?

Because it is a hyaluronic acid filler, volume is added to the shoulder line right after injection, so many people notice the change immediately. However, there is swelling right after, so the final line settles naturally over about 1-2 weeks as the swelling subsides; the time to settle varies by individual. The injected HA is gradually absorbed by the body over time, so how long it lasts varies with the product and dose used and with each person's skin, metabolism and lifestyle — generally from several months to over a year, with the doctor advising on specifics at consultation. Because the shoulder is an area of frequent movement, the rate of absorption can differ between individuals, so a top-up (retouch) after a period of time may be considered to maintain the line. A useful feature of HA filler is that it can be adjusted or corrected with an enzyme (hyaluronidase) if needed. The degree, onset and duration of results vary by individual, and the same outcome is not guaranteed.

Shoulder Filler Safety Information & Aftercare

Shoulder Filler is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Treatment may be restricted if there is active infection, inflammation, or an open wound in the treatment area, or if you have experienced an allergic or hypersensitivity reaction to hyaluronic acid (HA) or any other ingredient used in the treatment. Please also inform the medical team before treatment if you have a history of anaesthetic allergy, a bleeding disorder, or are taking anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, or other medication that can affect bleeding. After treatment, redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising, or temporary firmness may occur, and in most cases these gradually settle over time. As Shoulder Filler distributes volume over a relatively wide area, early swelling may make the shape of the shoulder line or left-right differences feel unlike usual; in many cases it settles naturally as the swelling subsides. Immediately after treatment, it is best not to rub, press, or massage the shoulder area where filler was injected. Carrying heavy bags on the shoulder, anything that puts continuous pressure on the treated area, and vigorous upper-body or shoulder exercise are also best avoided during the early recovery period. For about one to two days after treatment, it is best to avoid activities that can increase swelling and warmth, such as saunas, hot compresses, vigorous exercise, and alcohol. Rarely, delayed inflammatory reactions or nodules may appear after filler treatment. If swelling, redness, or pain subsides and then returns or persists, or if a firm area or nodule becomes newly palpable, medical assessment is required. As a general filler safety point, if pain is severe or progressively worsens, or if the skin turns white or becomes mottled red or purple, immediate medical assessment is required.
