Who it’s for
- Under-Eye Filler may be considered in the following situations. - The under-eye area is hollow, creating shadows that make dark circles look darker - The tired or older-looking impression caused by under-eye hollowing is a concern - A pronounced tear trough makes the boundary between the under-eye and upper cheek look deep - Hollowing and shadows under the eyes remain even when the colour is covered with makeup - The aim is to naturally supplement under-eye volume loss for a smoother under-eye line Under-Eye Filler uses hyaluronic acid (HA) filler to supplement the tear trough and under-eye volume loss, easing hollowing and the shadows it creates. When dark circles are mainly caused by pigmentation or visible blood vessels, the improvement that can be expected from filler alone is limited, and other procedures may be more appropriate depending on the cause. In addition, when fat protrusion is more prominent than hollowing, or when under-eye swelling is habitually pronounced, filler may not be appropriate or may make swelling more noticeable, so careful judgement is needed. The medical team judges suitability individually after assessing the thickness and hollowing of the under-eye skin, the presence of fat protrusion or swelling, and the cause of the dark circles. Treatment may be restricted during pregnancy or breastfeeding, when there is active infection or inflammation in the treatment area, or when there is a history of allergy or hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid or any ingredient used in the treatment. Please also inform the medical team before treatment if you have a bleeding disorder or are taking anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, or other medication that can affect bleeding.

What Is Under-Eye Filler?
Under-eye filler precisely places hyaluronic acid (HA) into the hollow beneath the eyes — the tear trough — to soften the shadowed look of dark circles and restore lost volume. By filling the hollow that casts a shadow, it can help a tired, sunken under-eye look appear brighter and more rested. Because the under-eye is one of the thinnest, most delicate areas of the face, the choice of product and dose is decided directly by the doctor and placed with precision. Just as a dent collects shadow when light hits it, a hollow under-eye looks darker because of the shadow it casts. Under-eye filler is closer to gently filling that dent so the shadow smooths away.
What to Expect: The Under-Eye Filler Treatment Process
1) Consultation: the doctor reviews the skin and medical history (pregnancy, medications, allergies, prior procedures) and, where helpful, uses skin-diagnostic imaging to assess under-eye skin thickness, the degree of hollowing, and the cause of the dark circles, then determines the suitable product, dose, and area of placement.
2) Topical anesthesia: numbing cream is applied to ease discomfort; some fillers also contain a numbing agent (lidocaine) within the product itself.
3) Authenticity check: the product is opened in front of the patient and a certificate of authenticity is provided.
4) Injection: using a fine needle or a cannula (a blunt-tipped tube), small amounts are placed precisely at the appropriate layer beneath the thin under-eye skin and smoothed out naturally.
5) Finishing: soothing and cooling care is applied, and aftercare guidance — managing swelling and bruising, moisturizing, and sun protection — is given for home care.
Actual treatment time is roughly 20 minutes, usually in a single session. If a small top-up is needed after seeing the result, a follow-up may be advised.
When Will Under-Eye Filler Results Appear — and How Long Do They Last?
Because filler restores volume, the hollow is replenished from the moment of treatment, and many people see the under-eye flatten and the shadow lighten right away. That said, there may be slight swelling immediately afterward, so the final, naturally settled look generally stabilizes over about 3-4 weeks. It is usually done in a single session, with a small top-up sometimes considered after seeing the result, depending on the degree of hollowing. How long it lasts varies with the product used and each person's absorption rate and lifestyle, but it generally tends to last from several months to over a year (some products are reported to last longer), gradually being absorbed over time. To maintain the look, a repeat treatment can be considered once absorption is observed. As noted, when pigment-type or vascular-type dark circles are also present, filler alone will not remove all the darkness — its main aim is improving the shadow caused by hollowing. The degree, onset, and duration of results vary by individual.
Under-Eye Filler Safety Information & Aftercare
Under-Eye Filler is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Treatment may be restricted if there is active infection, inflammation, or an open wound in the treatment area, or if you have experienced an allergic or hypersensitivity reaction to hyaluronic acid (HA) or any other ingredient used in the treatment. Please also inform the medical team before treatment if you have a bleeding disorder or are taking anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, or other medication that can affect bleeding.
The under-eye area has thin skin and swells easily, so redness, swelling, tenderness, or bruising may occur after treatment and can last from several days to one or two weeks depending on the individual. Swelling may initially make the shape or left-right differences feel unlike usual. Rarely, the Tyndall effect — in which the filler appears bluish — or a palpable feeling at the injection site may occur; if this persists, the medical team assesses the condition and determines whether adjustment with hyaluronidase is needed.
Although rare, vascular complications such as vascular occlusion can occur with filler treatment. If pain is severe or progressively worsens after treatment, if the skin turns white or becomes mottled red or purple, or if vision becomes blurred or changes, contact the clinic immediately or seek medical care. Visual change in particular is very rare but requires prompt assessment and management.
Immediately after treatment, do not rub, press, or massage the under-eye area, and it is best to avoid activities that can increase swelling and warmth, such as saunas, hot compresses, vigorous exercise, and alcohol, for about one to two days. Adequate moisturizing and sun protection are recommended during the recovery period.
