O2Derm Oxygen Therapy Safety Information & Aftercare
If there is active inflammation or infection, an open wound, active herpes simplex, or another skin condition in the treatment area, it is recommended to avoid that area or to treat after the skin has fully recovered. If you have experienced an allergic or hypersensitivity reaction to the ampoules or cosmetic ingredients used, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform the medical team before treatment. Please also inform the medical team in advance if you have a respiratory condition such as asthma, or feel discomfort or anxiety with equipment that covers the face.
Although this is a relatively low-irritation treatment, temporary stinging, tightness, or redness may occur depending on the individual's skin condition. If coughing, a feeling of stuffiness, dizziness, breathing discomfort, or anxiety from the enclosed sensation occurs while oxygen is being delivered, please tell the medical team immediately; if necessary, treatment is stopped and your condition is checked. Areas around the eyes and close to mucous membranes are treated with care regarding the scope of application.
Adequate moisturizing and sun protection are recommended after treatment. If the skin feels dry or sensitive, avoiding additional irritation such as scrubs and strong exfoliation and keeping to moisturizing-focused home care can help the skin settle and retain hydration.
