What Is COLLAUM 120?
COLLAUM is not a treatment that 'fills in' lost collagen on the spot — it is a collagen-stimulating injectable that prompts the skin to make new collagen again. The change appears gradually over several weeks, with firmness, texture, and a natural glow building up from within. It suits people who prefer a slow, natural improvement over an instant result. Much like adding fertilizer to a garden bed and watching the plants grow on their own over time, COLLAUM places an unseen support within the skin so the body fills in its own firmness. The PLLA that acts as scaffolding is gradually absorbed, and what remains is the skin's own collagen.
What to Expect: The COLLAUM 120 Treatment Process
1) Consultation & diagnosis: a doctor reviews the skin condition (which may include a skin diagnosis such as Markvu), medical history, and any contraindications, then plans the injection sites and volume.
2) Cleansing & numbing: after cleansing, topical anesthetic may be applied for comfort.
3) Injection: PLLA is placed into the appropriate skin layer via fine needle across multiple points (injecting across several points helps the product distribute evenly).
4) Finish: the treated area is cleaned and soothing recovery care may be applied. The session is generally short. Depending on the doctor's assessment, a short course of medication may be prescribed as a precaution.
When Will COLLAUM 120 Results Appear — and How Long Do They Last?
COLLAUM is not an instant-fill treatment. As is typical of PLLA, any temporary swelling seen right after the session subsides within a few days; the visible change then develops gradually over roughly 2–4 weeks as the skin's own collagen is stimulated. PLLA-class products are generally reported to last around 1.5–2 years, though this is a general reference only and onset and longevity vary considerably by individual skin condition, lifestyle, and dose; the same result is not guaranteed for everyone. Because the collagen-building process over the following weeks matters more than the procedure itself, keeping up consistent basic home care such as sun protection and moisturizing can help the change settle in; where helpful, the team can suggest a home-care direction suited to the skin during consultation. For those visiting Korea for a short period, note that patients will likely return home before the gradual collagen change becomes visible — this is expected with PLLA and does not mean COLLAUM was unsuccessful; the team can explain what to expect over the following weeks during the consultation. Because this is a gradual collagen-stimulating treatment, a doctor may recommend additional sessions spaced several weeks to months apart; if a multi-session plan is recommended, the team can discuss a schedule that fits travel plans, including completing it over future visits.
COLLAUM 120 Safety Information & Aftercare
Treatment may be restricted during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or when there is active infection or inflammation in the treatment area. Prior confirmation is also required for an active autoimmune disease, a bleeding disorder, or a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring. If you have experienced an allergic or hypersensitivity reaction to COLLAUM or any other ingredient used in the treatment, or are taking anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, or other medication that can affect bleeding, please inform the medical team.
Immediately after treatment, redness, swelling, tenderness, or bruising may appear at the injection sites, and in most cases these gradually settle over time. Because of the nature of PLLA, papules, nodules, or lumps may rarely occur, and some may appear some time after treatment.
For about one week after treatment, it is best not to massage the treated area vigorously or receive lymphatic/manual body massage there. Avoid strong heat such as saunas and hot compresses as well as vigorous exercise and alcohol, and adequate moisturizing and sun protection are recommended during the recovery period. Makeup is best applied only after the injection sites have settled sufficiently.
If a firm lump or nodule persists or grows, or if severe pain, redness, warmth, or swelling persists, medical assessment is required.
